Thermapanel Radiators – What’s the difference?
Thermapanel Electric radiators and how to choose between the different types
When trying to pick what suits you best there are a number of factors to consider which include the following to name but a few
- What you can afford
- Running Costs
- Appearance
- Size
- Thermostats and programming
- Warranty
- How long we have been around
Unfortunately if you have been shopping around it can all be very confusing, and whilst we will not comment on or competitors products we will only make you aware of the types we sell, and having over 25-years experience we think we know a little about what we are talking about, and therefore only offer what is best to meet these criteria.
The main features of the Thermapanel Premium range which include the following models:
- Girona
- Sevilla
and Thermapanel Classic range which include the Salamanca ECD and Salamanca ESC ranges (apart from the price) are the warranties (15-years Girona, 5 years ECD & ESC)
As two of these (Girona & ESC) are with Ceramic cells the running costs will be very similar. Warm up times for Aluminium (ESC) is quicker.
The controls manage each radiator on both time and temperature. There is no further additional charge for thermostat controllers.
The optional wireless controllers are completely remote from the radiators and have two components, a programmer/thermostat and a receiver (to receive the instructions from the programmer/thermostat.) You can also optionally use a programmer/thermostat to manage a group of radiators i.e bedrooms so that they all switch on at the same time and all go to the same temperatures, but that is your choice.
The ECD & ESC radiators have built-in timers & thermostats, but you can optionally add the same wireless controls as per the Girona. They are very easy and simple to install/programme.
Running costs for all electric heating will be higher than that of gas purely because the purchase cost per KW/h of gas is much lower than electricity, but the efficiency of electric is 100% because everything you consume is tuned into heat, which is not the case with gas. Also you have the disruption with installing a wet system.

I cannot believe how modern and efficient my new Thermapanel Girnona radiators are. I have a large old house that has always been difficult to heat and installed my radiators were ordered in two stages. Now that they are all installed and working my house has never been so warm. How to differentiate the different types of electric heater
Our web site is designed to get you the information you want quicker and easier, but please don’t just use us as a price comparison site.
“Electric Radiators” work in many different ways depending on the manufacturer and the type of product that they sell, indeed the term “Radiator” is very loose at the bottom end of the scale.
They start at the lowest level with a simple plug-in convector heater priced at about £25 and then start creeping up to portable oil filled heater both of which you can buy in any DIY store. This is not our market. We sell proper electric radiators, that are not a mass produced off the shelf system. Indeed they designed to last you many years and also suit a variety of budgets. Our Electric Radiators and experience – in excess of 25 years experience are proven and not new to the market.
Our prices start from £130 – so if you are looking for a low cost short term heater – sorry we can’t help!
